We thought it was only fitting to present DJF R Puckster 2338, the lead herd sire here at Deana Jak Farms, as the Lot 1 in our catalog - we fully recognize that a bull will advance a program and influence herd genetics faster than any other breeding tool that a producer might use, and we place great value on our herd bulls here.
First seen at the side of his dam, R Miss Patend 326, our pick of the Rausch Herefords herd in 2008, we chose to purchase “2338” because of his overall quality, phenotype, and the outcross genetics he offers for most cow herds.
A proven calving ease bull (average birth weight of calves was 71 lbs), we used “2338” exclusively on all of our virgin heifers last year and have been thrilled with the outcome. The calves all came easily and performed excellently, exhibiting exceptional growth. They are stylish and well marked with very little “extra” white, and we are excited to see what their weaning weights will be!
Along with his benefits as a proven calving ease bull, “2338” is red-eyed, red-necked, red-footed, and has fully pigmented testicles. Additionally, he scanned the largest REA of all yearling bulls here at Deana Jak Farms in 2009.
Never before offered at public auction and not to be available again in 2010, we are now offering 10 packages of 10 units of semen on this great young herd sire – do not miss out!
Possession negotiable – please contact us for details.
